SEPLITE ® LSF970 resin for strach sugar purification
The Seplite LSF970 adsorbent resin has higher adsorption capacity, easy for regeneration, with better bead strength and good antipollution ability. The resin is specially designed for the removal of HMF from sugar syrup and honey, and it has already been applied successfully in food processing market. LSF970 adsorbent resin can effectively reduce the HMF from 1500ppm to below 10ppm.
LSF970 resin is mainly for HMF removal from glucose, invert sugar and fructose.
About purification of strach sugar with resin
Starch sugar is made from starch, and is the product generated from catalytic hydrolysis reaction by acid or enzyme. The starch sugar includes : liquid glucose, crystalline dextrose,malt syrup, maltodextrin, malto-oligosaccharide,High fructose syrup and etc.
There will generate inorganic salt and organic impurities like protein, amino acid, HMF and colored substance during the process of starch sugar production, Thus the final starch sugar will be made through preliminary decoloration, filtration and then purifed by ion exchange resins.
